Choose colour and light control
Warm neutrals soften daylight and combine easily with natural materials. Darker colours make a stronger frame. Consider how the fabric looks in morning and evening light and whether a lining is needed.

Repeat a curtain colour in a cushion set, but vary pattern scale and texture. This creates harmony without making every element look identical.
